  • Arrive with clean skin free of makeup and skincare products
  • Discontinue retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliating acids 3 to 5 days before treatment to reduce skin sensitivity
  • Avoid picking or squeezing active breakouts before your appointment
  • Inform your technician of any topical or oral acne medications you are currently using
After your treatment

Recovering

  • Apply a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to keep skin hydrated
  • Use a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily, as treated skin may be more sun-sensitive
  • Avoid heavy makeup for 24 hours if possible
  • Do not use harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or active acne treatments for 48 to 72 hours after treatment
  • Avoid touching your face unnecessarily to prevent transferring bacteria to treated skin
  • Stay hydrated and maintain a consistent skincare routine between sessions

Acne is rarely caused by one factor alone. Excess oil, inflammation, bacteria and blocked pores can all contribute to recurring breakouts. Blemish Repair takes a multi-targeted approach by treating active blemishes, helping regulate overactive sebaceous glands and improving the discolouration left behind after acne heals.

How Blemish Repair Works

Controlled laser energy is delivered to targeted areas of the skin to help reduce sebaceous gland activity and create a less favourable environment for acne-related bacteria. By managing excess oil and inflammation, the treatment can help calm active breakouts and reduce the frequency of future blemishes.

Improving Red and Brown Acne Marks

Blemish Repair also targets post-inflammatory erythema (PIE), which appears as red or pink marks, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), which appears as brown or darker discolouration. Treatment is customized according to your skin tone and the type of marks present.

Blemish Repair treats colour left behind by acne, not indented or raised acne scars. Microneedling, RF microneedling or resurfacing treatments may be recommended for textural scarring.
